Hazem Elbaz

Biography

Hazem Elbaz received his B.Sc. in Computer Science from the IU Gaza, Palestine, in 2001. In 2004, he received his M.Sc. in Computer Engneering from the Near East University, Turkey. During his M.Sc., Elbaz worked with Fahreddin Sadikoglu Mammadov on analysis and developing Elliptic Curve Cryptography algorithm. Elbaz received his Ph.D. from Ain-Shams University of Computer and Information Systems, Egypt, in Cloud Computing Security with Excellent in 2015.

He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Networks and Mobiles Department at Faculty of Computers and Information Technology, Al-Aqsa University, Gaza, Palestine. He is a researcher. His research interests include Cloud Computing Security, Network Security, Information Security.

Elbaz a specialist in information security and Linux systems, He has experience in penetration testing on different systems, contribute and work to improve and enrich the Arabic content in the field of information security.

  • The International Master of Science on Cyber Physical Systems (MS@CPS) provides a specialized and unified view of the industry-oriented research field, aiming to prepare the students to be highly skilled analyser, designers and developers of both the software and hardware aspects for various industry related systems and applications in the context of CPS.   • The project (BITPAL) aims to adopt innovative orientation in teaching that enhance the thinking of the undergraduate students. The target of BITPAL is to develop the curricula of IT programs in Palestinian academic sector for adopting new innovative teaching methodologies developed during the project. This will help IT students to become more reliable and productive, and will improve their ability for learning-to-learn. Consequently, IT students will be able to start their own businesses and open several opportunities for them in an early stage before the graduation and in their careers after graduation.

• TOT Freelancing Program - South Tech Hub

  • The Freelance Academy is comprised of multiple tracks for different cohorts of participants. 10-week freelancing mentorship program: This track is for young people skilled in areas such as web development, graphic design, translation, social media, mobile development and front-end development to become successful online freelancers through intensive mentorship sessions in topics such as building a competitive online freelancing profile, social media marketing, and professional English. During the 10 weeks, participants gather for networking and experience-sharing in addition to workshops on trending topics in the field of online freelancing.
